See It? Hear It? It’s His Glory!

This morning I am starting my first day of vacation camping at the lake. I am up before anyone else and I am sitting at the picnic table reading God’s Word and my devotional. And as I stop to look around and to listen to things around me, I sit in awe! It is such a beautiful morning, such a peace out here. The birds are chirping… the squirrels are running around in the leaves… the leaves on the trees are so green…the is sun is shining through those trees… and the lake is like glass this morning! And as I look with eyes that see and listen with ears that hear… What do I see and hear? I see and hear God’s Glory is being proclaimed! I sit in awe that my God created all the things around me to point me to Him and His presence! Then this one thought come to my mind: “There is no way that all of this just happened! There is a creator and that Creator is my Heavenly Father.” Then I am reminded of what the Apostle Paul wrote to the Romans:“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities-His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.” Romans 1:20 (NLT) And I am even in more awe of my God. He created all these things I am seeing and hearing this morning through His Son Jesus Christ!” “God created everything though Him, (Jesus) and nothing was created except through Him.” John 1:3 (NLT)

There is one more thing that I sit in awe of God this morning, I sit in awe of the wonderful gift He gave me 5 years ago today! He gave me the wonderful gift of the birth of my firstborn daughter Caitlyn Grace! That’s right just one more thing to show me His Glory and His love!

Abba Father, thank you for showing pointing me to You and Your presences this morning. For showing me Your Glory through Your creation of the things around me and through the birth of my daughter! I am truly blessed by You!
